All the investors in the Broadway musical Waitress got their slices of the pie this week when the show announced that it has recouped its entire $12 million investment after less than ten months at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, where the Tony-nominated musical continues.

Set in the South, the plot swirls around a diner waitress and expert pie-baker named Jenna, who, mired in a loveless marriage to an abusive husband and unexpectedly pregnant with his child, embarks on a torrid love affair with her married gynecologist.
Waitress Welcomes New Set of Co-Producers
Tony-winning Broadway producers Barry and Fran Weissler have announced that Norton and Elayne Herrick of Herrick Entertainment will be their co-producers on Waitress, the new musical based upon the 2007 motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly, which will begin previews March 25 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
