Waitress Is Officially a Hit: Recoups After 10 Months on Broadway

All the investors in the Broadway musical Waitress got their slices of the pie this week when the show announced that it has recouped its entire $12 million investment after less than ten months at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, where the Tony-nominated musical continues.

Waitress premiered at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, MA in the summer of 2015. The musical is based on the 2007 film of the same title and has been nominated for 4 Tony Awards.

Waitress Welcomes New Set of Co-Producers

Tony-winning Broadway producers Barry and Fran Weissler have announced that Norton and Elayne Herrick of Herrick Entertainment will be their co-producers on Waitress, the new musical based upon the 2007 motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly, which will begin previews March 25 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
