Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films has teamed with Herrick Entertainment on Precious Cargo, an action thriller that Bruce Willis will star in, with Max Adams directing a screenplay he wrote based on his 2008 short film. The feature will be distributed through Grindstone/Lionsgate–it is the first film in a 10-pic deal set by E/F/O and Lionsgate–and Highland Film Group will sell the foreign at Cannes. E/F/O’s Randall Emmett & George Furla will produce with Herrick’s Norton Herrick, and Scott Mann & James Edward Barker of Mann Made Films.

Set in a world of double crossing professional thieves, Willis plays Eddie, a crime boss trying to score the profits from another crook’s heist. The pic will shoot in Biloxi, Mississippi. It continues a relationship between Willis an E/F/O that also includes the just-wrapped thriller Extraction, and an adaptation of the Elmore Leonard novel Bandits.

Grindstone’s Barry Brooker & Stan Wertlieb, Wayne Marc Godfrey & Robert Jones of The Fyzz Facility will executive produce along Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier of HFG. Grindstone’s Ryan Black, Tim Sullivan & Tony Callie are co-producing. CAA reps Willis and WME reps E/F/O, which also had David Mamet turning his Hollywood-themed play Speed The Plow into a feature. The financier/producer is also in production on the Martin Scorsese-directed Silence, starring Liam Neeson and Andrew Garfield, and just wrapped 90 Minutes in Heaven with Kate Bosworth and Hayden Christensen.
